What is crt plasma?

CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and Plasma are two types of display technologies that were commonly used in televisions and computer monitors in the past.

CRT technology uses a vacuum tube with an electron gun to create an image on a phosphor-coated glass screen. The image is created by activating the phosphors with the electron beam, causing them to emit light. CRT displays were bulky and heavy, but they were known for their bright colors and fast response times.

Plasma technology uses tiny cells filled with ionized gas to create an image. Each cell acts as a pixel, and when the cells are activated, they produce light. Plasma displays were thinner and lighter than CRTs, and they were known for their vibrant colors and wide viewing angles.

Both CRT and Plasma displays have largely been replaced by newer technologies such as LCD and OLED, which offer better picture quality and energy efficiency. However, CRTs are still used in some specialized applications and Plasma displays are still preferred by some enthusiasts for their superior picture quality.
